My Small Moments

                              Camping at Parakai

I was really  excited when I first heard that I was going camping at Parakai  because I haven't been there before. When my aunty and nana had came to my house we weren’t there yet because we just left my house. I had asked my aunty heaps and heaps of times if  we were there yet but she said  “no it  is a long time in the car.”  I waited a very  long time in  the car. Suddenly  were there at Parakai. I quickly got my things and raced off to the camping sites.  

When we had go to the camping site we unpacked our things. Suddenly I saw a man it was actually my granddad. He had scared me to death. When my granddad had came he had to set up the tent. When my grandad was setting up the tent I had a look around and I saw trees surrounding me.  The trees looked really scary when I first looked at them.

Suddenly I heard a bird sing in the scary trees. Then  I heard more birds singing in the trees. When all the birds were all singing in the trees I started to dance to the singing then suddenly I got caught by my aunty. My aunty  started to laugh at me when I was  dancing. After my aunty was laughing at me my nana said “what is all that laughing about?’’ I said “ I was dancing and thats how aunty was laughing about” .  Then my aunty said “should we set up  our things in the tent.’’ So I went in my tent and set up my things in the tent. After that I read a little bit .Then after my reading it was getting dark. So my aunty, nana and me was surrounding the camp fire. Then we had roasted  marshmallows. After that we went in our tent and went to sleep but I was still awake. I read  a little bit and fell asleep. In the morning I woke up and got dress and woke up everyone. We packed our things and left the camping sites.

When we were in the car it was a really long trip it felt like we were at Christchurch to Auckland that’s how long it was. I got tired and fell asleep the whole way.
